Printing issues can pop up for a number of reasons, and there are a number of methods to troubleshoot these issues.

Isolate the Issue

Isolate the issues down to either an application (eg. word, pdf, etc.), server, Pc, or network issue. This can be done by finding out if its only one application that is not allowing you to print a document or if it is all applications. For server, PC and Network Issues please follow the fixes below.

Fix 1: Check connection to internet and server

  1. In order to print from the server, you must first ensure that you are connected to the network linked to that server. You can check by simply checking in the bottom right hand corner of the taskbar, under the network button.

    1. If you are disconnected from the network, please connect to the right network and try printing again.

    2. If you are connected to the right network (network attached to server) and  the printing issue persists, please follow the next fix.

Fix 2: Ensure printers are on

  1. Check if printers are all on, if they are not on, please turn them on. This will ensure communication with papercut and the printers.

Fix 3:  Log out of Paper cut and log back In

  1. Right click on the PaperCut application window and click on “Login as...”

  2. Please add in a Papercut ID Number  and click ok so that you have successfully signed in showing your account value.

  3. You should now be logged in to your Papercut account allowing you to print. If the issue persists, please follow the next fix.
